Three Dimensional Wedding Card

It has been over a year since my best friend's wedding.  Recently she and I and a group of close friends gathered together for a day.  Since we all live far away from each other, this was a rare occasion.  In fact, the last time we gathered was the day of her wedding.  We shared laughs while watching the wedding video and reminisced.

When we were young, my friend was always strongly attracted to the colors of Gold and Red.  Perhaps one day her wedding dress would be those colors.  One the weekend of wedding I decided to give both money and a handmade gift.

Gold Wire Gauge 22 or 24
Glass Luster Cube Beads
Pattern Scrap Book Paper Folded into Cubes
Red Glass Candle Holder
Sewing String

Each wire was weaved by pliers.  The roots of the tree are hooked under the candle holder which is flipped upside down.  The paper cubes are taped together with a sewing string tied to a small gold paper clip.  The paper clips are entirely concealed.  Inside each paper cube is a clean folded two US dollar bill.  The two dollar bill is the least common circulated denomination of the modern printed US notes.  The Two Dollar Bill also signifies the partnership of a marriage.

This is the very first wire tree I ever made.
